Italian-Kazakh Trade Association Announces the “Kazakhstan – Italy Trade Investment Opportunities on the Road to Kazakhstan” Business Forum

Dear Partners and Members of Our Association! The Italian-Kazakh Trade Association is pleased to announce the annual business forum “Kazakhstan – Italy Trade Investment Opportunities on the Road to Kazakhstan” which will take place from October 7 to October 9, 2024, in Milan, Italy. The forum is organized by the Italian-Kazakh Trade Association, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Italy, and JSC “QazTrade.” This year, the forum will bring together representatives from major Kazakh and Italian companies in the sectors of energy, mining, metallurgy, agribusiness, finance, light industry, tourism, infrastructure, and logistics. The main goals of the event are to identify potential niches for joint investment projects, strengthen economic ties between companies from the two countries, and showcase Kazakhstan’s tourism potential.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan commented on the information that appeared in the media about Kazakhstan being on the black list of the Schengen zone. Aibek Smadiyarov, Foreign Ministry spokesman, emphasized that as for the question that allegedly Kazakhstan is included in some kind of list, we have not received official notification from the European parties. However, we were informed in a working order that from March 1 Kazakhstan will indeed be included in the list of countries  whose citizens will now require additional consultations when issuing a Schengen visa.
