Meet the Associate | ACIK Stories: KZ Protection Group
Founded and managed by Aynur Naizabasova, KZ Protection Group is among the most stable and respected companies in Kazakhstan’s security industry. Its extensive experience and nationwide presence enable it to provide physical security services (including armed protection), install and maintain surveillance, alarm, and access control systems, and offer professional training programs for security personnel.
“We started with traditional security, but over the years we have grown into a structured group with twenty branches and thousands of employees,” says Naizabasova. “Today, we can provide security services anywhere in Kazakhstan, with consistent quality and any level of complexity.”
Among the company’s key partners are AO EmbaMunayGaz, AO Ekibastuz GRES 2, AO KazPost, and AO ‘NC ‘KTZh’. The company’s reliability is backed by solid figures: in recent years, the group has employed up to 5,000 people. With twenty branches nationwide, KZ Protection Group remains one of the major taxpayers, contributing over one billion tenge annually to the national budget.
One of KZ Protection Group’s most recognized strengths is its organizational capacity. “When we won the tender to provide services for KazPost in 2016, we managed to mobilize over one thousand people across Kazakhstan overnight,” recalls the CEO proudly. “And in 2021, we once again deployed 1,500 employees overnight to protect the offices and assets of KTZh throughout the country.” Later, the company underwent rebranding and entered a broader market, adding new collaborations with private companies and international partners.
“For many years we worked mainly under state contracts, but today’s market challenges push us to look beyond,” explains Naizabasova. “We believe in the power of networking and associations: this is how we can share experience, support each other, and grow together.”
At the heart of KZ Protection Group’s success lies training and innovation. The company operates an internal training center with a shooting range, offering courses in industrial safety, counter-terrorism, and security operations. “Many of our employees come from vulnerable social groups,” she explains. “For us, training is a path to real opportunities and higher-quality services. We train competent professionals, not just guards.”
The training center, also open to external companies, issues licenses and nationally recognized certificates. Among its most innovative courses are training for screening inspectors at airports and railway stations and profilers, experts in behavioral analysis. “We are exploring the integration of artificial intelligence into our systems,” adds the CEO. “We don’t want to limit ourselves to traditional security; innovation is our next frontier.”
Female leadership as a driving force
In a traditionally male-dominated sector, Aynur Naizabasova’s female leadership stands out as distinctive and inspiring. “Many people are surprised to see a woman leading a security agency,” she smiles. “But for me, leadership is based on trust and shared values. When the team believes in your vision, anything is possible.”
Gender equality is a fundamental part of the corporate culture: half of the management team are women, and among the security staff there are also remarkable female professionals. “We have amazing women,” says Naizabasova. “One is a master in wrestling, another is studying to become a pilot. It’s great to see women being strong and professional in any field.”
In recent years, KZ Protection Group has ensured security for major international events in Kazakhstan, such as the Be Woman Forum (with guests from 20 countries), the New Vision Forum, and even the Jennifer Lopez concert, which involved more than 200 employees. These examples demonstrate the company’s ability to operate according to international standards and adapt to new challenges.
The meeting with ACIK took place in 2025 at the Supply Chain Forum MAIRE in Atyrau, organized by the Italian-Kazakh Chamber of Commerce. “It was an important moment,” recalls Naizabasova. “I discovered ACIK, met wonderful people, and realized there is a real bridge between Kazakhstan and Italy.”
A special connection with Italy
Beyond the professional sphere, there is also a deep personal connection with Italy. “I love Italy, its products, fashion, cosmetics, culture,” admits Aynur. “My niece studies design in Milan, and every time I visit Italy, I feel its unique energy. Joining ACIK came naturally; it’s a way to unite two worlds that share the same sensitivity and passion.”
Looking to the future, she states clearly: “Our goal is to obtain an international license and become a global player in the security services market. With ACIK, we aim to build partnerships, attend events, and meet new companies. That’s how opportunities are created.”
KZ Protection Group fully embodies the ACIK spirit: excellence, openness, and mutual trust.
