Ecological routes in the Mangistau region are included in the catalog of the Italian tour operator and complement trips to Almaty and the Turkestan region.

Promotion of new routes and expansion of partnership in the field of tourism between Kazakhstan and Italy became the main subject of the concluded memorandum of cooperation between Kazakh Tourism and the Italian-Kazakh Trade Association (ACIK).

One of the key aspects of the partnership was support for organized tours to Kazakhstan. Particular emphasis will be placed on the ecological routes of Mangistau, which are now presented in the catalog of the Italian tour operator along with Almaty and the Turkestan region.

In addition, the Italian airline "Neos Air" plans to increase the number of flights between Kazakhstan and Italy to three times a week from March 2025. Flights will be operated on modern Boeing 737 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

It should be noted that Kazakhstan is becoming a more attractive destination for Italians. According to the Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the number of visitors from Italy increased by 32% in 2024 and amounted to 13 thousand people. The visa-free regime and direct flights contribute to the active growth of the flow.

It is worth noting that Italy is one of the priority markets for Kazakhstan, so the signing of the memorandum opens a new chapter in the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Italy in the field of tourism and lays the foundation for a long-term partnership aimed at developing sustainable and mutually beneficial tourist exchange.
