Kassym-Jomart Tokayev delivered a Message to the people of Kazakhstan at a joint meeting of both houses of the Parliament, announced the holding of early presidential elections in Kazakhstan in the fall of 2022.

"I propose to hold extraordinary presidential elections this fall. For the successful implementation of comprehensive reforms on the path to creating fair Kazakhstan, a new trust mandate of the people is needed.
