Italy plans to open to all tourists in April
The Italian authorities do not plan to extend the current restrictions on the entry of foreign tourists after March 31: this week, the country's government should finalize a roadmap to exit the coronavirus pandemic by Catholic Easter, Corriere della Sera newspaper reports.
Italian Tourism Minister, Massimo Garvallia, urges to hurry up with the opening of the country to travelers and emphasizes the need to keep up with European competitors, who have already announced the deadlines for lifting all restrictions and facilitating entry not only for those arriving from the EU, but also from other countries.
In addition, Italy will recognize paper vaccination certificates, as well as those on which the QR code is not compatible with the Italian system.
