Car-free Sunday in Almaty
According to informburo news portal, eco-activists in Almaty proposed a ban on driving on personal vehicles on the first Sundays of every month. Sergei Ponomaryev, a member of the public council, journalist, said about it at the meeting of the public council for improving air quality in Almaty.
The initiative was supported by independent environmentalists and other members of the group.
