SCHENGEN VISA: CHANGES IN COST AND RULES FROM FEBRUARY 2, 2020
The consular fee for those who plan to visit the Schengen countries increased by 20 euros. The innovations entered into force on February 2, 2020. At the moment, the visa fee is 80 euros.
According to the site schengenvisainfo.com, in addition to increasing the consular fee for recipients of Schengen visas, the application period for obtaining visas starts from 6 months to 2 weeks before the trip. At the same time, the validity period of multiple visas will gradually increase from a year to 5 years. In addition, electronic forms will be accepted in most countries.
