The Final Online Conference on the Results of the National Basic Research was held on June 18

The project of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan “SME Competitiveness”, implemented with the support of the World Bank, is a large-scale work of Kazakhstani and international experts.  The main result of the project was the Concept for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises of Kazakhstan with the goal of increasing the share of SMEs in GDP up to 50% by 2050. On June 18, during the online conference, experts presented the Strategy for the Development of SMEs until 2050.

Car-free Sunday in Almaty

According to informburo news portal, eco-activists in Almaty proposed a ban on driving on personal vehicles on the first Sundays of every month. Sergei Ponomaryev, a member of the public council, journalist, said about it at the meeting of the public council for improving air quality in Almaty. Following the example of Milan, such a proposal was made by the architect Zhanna Spooner into the environmental group under the akimat of the city.  The initiative was supported by independent environmentalists and other members of the group.
