Kazakhstan will introduce new restrictions due to Omicron variant

The Interdepartmental Commission on Preventing the Spread of COVID-19 has decided to introduce new restrictive measures from December 3. From December 3, 2021: to restrict the entry into Kazakhstan of foreign citizens from Botswana, South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Madagascar, Eswatini, Tanzania and Hong Kong; introduce a mandatory PCR test regardless of vaccination for persons arriving from countries where the CVI cases with Omicron variant have been detected (Israel, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Australia, Canada).

Big step towards post pandemic restart

In connection with the government's decree for quarantine restrictions mitigation in Kazakhstan, changes have been made to the part of the cancellation of obligation in the Interdepartmental Commission to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (hereinafter Interdepartmental Commission) to entry into the country for citizens of Italy. At the same time visa receiving procedure still remains obligatory. Various types of visas can be requested without presenting the protocol of the Interdepartmental Commission in the embassy of Kazakhstan.

Constantly strengthening cooperation between Italy and Kazakhstan

On October 12, Yerbolat Nasenovich Sembayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Italian Republic, received Marco Beretta, President of ACIK, in Rome. During the reception, issues of developing cooperation between Kazakhstan and Italy, in the field of business and culture, were discussed. The parties exchanged views, ideas and plans, and agreed on interaction aimed at the continuous development of relations between the two countries.  Within the framework of the conversation, the holding of cultural activities in Italy by the Kazakh delegation, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, was discussed.
