Sabit Shontakbayev saved a girl from falling from the 8th floor in Nur-Sultan

The child hanging from the eaves of an eighth-floor balcony was rescued by a man living on the floor below.  The girl, born in 2019, was at home with her parents at the time of the fall.  At that very moment, there was no one near the child.  Fortunately, our hero, Sabit Shontakbayev, born in 1985, who lives on the seventh floor, saw a hanging crying child.  Without hesitation and risking his own life, he took action to save and in a matter of seconds caught the girl, thereby saving the life of the child.

Increasing cooperation between Kazakhstan and Italy

Marco Beretta, ACIK President, shared information about the activities carried out between the countries with the Atameken Business channel.  The main aspects of development in cooperation between Kazakhstan and Italy are agriculture, where the Italian company TreBio shows great interest in agricultural products from Kazakhstan, oil products, and cultural exchange.  Thanks to the launch of direct flights between Italy and Kazakhstan, by Neos airline, cooperation between our countries will receive a new round of development and will increase their volumes.

EU Plans to Create Easier Schengen Visa Application Procedures

The European Commission has proposed to EU countries to digitize the process of obtaining Schengen visas and introduce the possibility of applying online through a visa platform SchengenVisaInfo reports. The new Migration and Asylum Pact has set the goal of fully digitizing visa procedures by 2025. This is expected to improve the process by reducing costs and burden on EU Member States and applicants, while improving security in the region. According to the European Commission, the harmonization and unification of visa application procedures in the Schengen area will help to avoid "buying a visa" by applicants who apply in an EU country with faster data processing, and not in the country they plan to visit.

International tourism event at BIT in Milan: Italy and Kazakhstan

On April 11, in Milan was organized networking event between Kazakh and Italian sides at BIT. The guests and speakers of the event were H.E. Yerbolat Sembayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Italy, SEA, MonteNapoleone District, Comune di Milano. New regions will be formed in Kazakhstan

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in his today's Address, proposed a number of changes to form new regions in the country. Thus, it was proposed to divide the Almaty region into two regions: Taldykorgan will become the center of the Zhetysu region, and Kapshagay will become the center of the Almaty region. In addition, the Abai region will appear in Kazakhstan with the center in the city of Semey, and the Ulytau region will be formed on the territory of the former Zhezkazgan region.

Italy plans to open to all tourists in April

The Italian authorities do not plan to extend the current restrictions on the entry of foreign tourists after March 31: this week, the country's government should finalize a roadmap to exit the coronavirus pandemic by Catholic Easter, Corriere della Sera newspaper reports. Based on existing information, the state of emergency, which expires on March 31, will not be extended.  Italian Tourism Minister, Massimo Garvallia, urges to hurry up with the opening of the country to travelers and emphasizes the need to keep up with European competitors, who have already announced the deadlines for lifting all restrictions and facilitating entry not only for those arriving from the EU, but also from other countries.
