Qasym-Jomart Toqayev, President of Kazakhstan, instructed to make proposals within two days to return to strict quarantine due to the spread of coronavirus infection, according to the website of Akorda.
Qasym-Jomart Toqayev at the meeting with members of the Government, heads of state bodies, akims of cities and regions noted that the timely adoption of strict quarantine allowed to gain time and delay the peak of the epidemic. But almost immediately after the withdrawal of the emergency regime, all quarantine measures were weakened.
The head of Kazakhstan noted the importance of providing the necessary treatment and medicines to citizens. For this, the Government and akims of the regions were instructed to mobilize all financial and infrastructure resources.
Qasym-Jomart Toqayev called on the Government, along with emergency measures, to begin preparations for a long-term pandemic of the coronavirus. In this regard, it was entrusted to develop a national plan for the protection of life and health of Kazakhstanis in the medium term.
