Kazakhstan will introduce new restrictions due to Omicron variant

The Interdepartmental Commission on Preventing the Spread of COVID-19 has decided to introduce new restrictive measures from December 3.

From December 3, 2021:

  • to restrict the entry into Kazakhstan of foreign citizens from Botswana, South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Madagascar, Eswatini, Tanzania and Hong Kong;
  • introduce a mandatory PCR test regardless of vaccination for persons arriving from countries where the CVI cases with Omicron variant have been detected (Israel, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Australia, Canada). Persons arriving from these countries where cases with Omicron variant have been detected, regardless of the result of the PCR test, must be isolated for 7 (seven) days;
